蒼穹未央

Nick Drake 尼克德瑞克( 1948. 06. 19 ~ 1974. 11. 25 )是一位以木吉他為創作基礎的英國歌手，20 歲時和唱片公司簽約時，他還是劍橋大學的學生，《Day is done 》即選自他 1969 年發行的首張專輯《 Five Leaves Left 》。尼克德瑞克生性低調，不接受媒體採訪，也幾乎不做現場演出，所以關於他的表演紀錄影片盡付闕如，這是他未能取得商業成功的主要原因。

他一生飽受憂鬱症所苦，此一事實經常反映在他寫的歌詞中。尼克德瑞克最終於 26 歲時去世，死因確認為憂鬱症處方藥服用過量，至於是自殺或是意外則未可知。尼克德瑞克生前一共發行了三張評價不凡的專輯，當時銷售量都沒有超過 5000 張，但他的影響力卻在 70 年代中期開始逐漸顯現。

The Cure 和 R.E.M. 的主唱都說自己受到尼克德瑞克的影響；曾經來台宣傳的 Dream Academy 夢幻學院合唱團有一首風行英美的金曲" Life in a northern town 北方小鎮的生活 "，就是獻給尼克德瑞克的作品。
