Blackmore's Night 這個團體是一代吉他宗師 Ritchie Blackmore 瑞奇布萊克摩爾於 1997  年和妻子 Candice Night 所組成，瑞奇布萊克摩爾摒棄過往的重搖滾風格，投向中世紀民謠及文藝復興時期音樂的懷抱。在已推出的專輯中，兩人共同寫曲，由妻子主唱，歌曲內容多為中世紀歐洲的傳說故事，同時也翻唱不少風格相近或具有故事性的作品。" Ocean gypsy 海洋吉普賽 "收錄在二人 1997 年發行的首張專輯《 Shadow Of The Moon 》。

但這首抒情柔美的歌是一首翻唱歌曲，原唱是成立於英國的搖滾團Renaissance－－文藝復興合唱團，該團的音樂走向為古典／前衛搖滾，作品中有不少片段引用自古典音樂，鋼琴、管弦樂的運用經常是編曲主軸，一首曲子動輒十幾、二十分鐘的不在少數，而且他們擁有一位歌聲清亮甜美的女主唱 Annie Haslam 安妮海絲蘭，益使該團的作品卓然獨立於 70 年代的搖滾洪流之中。" Ocean gypsy 海洋吉普賽 "原本收錄在《 Scheherazade & Other Stories 天方夜譚與其他故事 》中，主唱安妮海絲蘭表示說，這首歌是文藝復興合唱團的所有作品中她最鍾愛的歌曲。
