學生時期曾經當過 D.J.，那時就對 Cyndi Lauper 的歌聲覺得很特殊有種不一樣的味道……一聽就知道，很難有山寨版出現，她的歌詞會帶起當時的青少年次文化，多層次穿衣哲學、諸多配件、百變造型、五顏六色的頭髮……尤其是年輕女生……搖旗吶喊著「Girls Just Want To Have Fun」新女性主張，種種鮮明印象，除了讓 Cyndi Lauper 獨領風騷整個八十年代，也為當時保守的西洋樂壇投下震撼彈，不過，筆者比較喜歡這首 Time after time！註：記得當時有一首大合唱 We are the world，諸多大腕歌手齊唱……其中只要 Cyndi Lauper 的聲音一出現，絕對能豪不猶豫的知道……。
