筆者年輕駐唱時期，有個自言其說的「昨日三系列曲」……呵呵，除了這首歌曲之外，還有披頭四的Yesterday，木匠兄妹的Yesterday once more，三曲之中，本曲應該算是人氣相對比較最低的……不過，這是有原因的……前兩首演唱者太有名了，叫人難以望其項背，可〈Yesterday, when I was young〉旋律優美，歌詞涵義深遠，常常讓人沉醉其中又思緒飛揚……其實，完全不輸另外兩首「昨日」系列……至少，我是這麼覺得的……。

PS. 〈Yesterday, when I was young〉原本是一首法文歌曲，詞曲並演唱者為 Charles Aznavour，後來由 Herbert Kretzmer 翻譯為英文，由鄉村歌手 Roy Clark 於 1965 年首度灌唱，在排行榜曾上獲得不錯的成績，而後翻唱版本眾多，本篇介紹的是Glen Campbell （葛倫坎伯）主唱的版本。
