Amazing Grace 是一首蘇格蘭的民謠，至今已流傳將近三百年，中文譯為奇異的恩典或讚嘆天恩，常在全國性或民間的慶典、節日、歡樂的慶祝活動或甚至哀傷的紀念活動中做為主要的演奏或演唱的曲目，當音樂歌聲緩緩響起，其優美肅穆的樂聲，常令參與活動的人為之動容。Amazing Grace雖為蘇格蘭民謠，亦流行並被使用於整個英倫三島含英格蘭、威爾斯及愛爾蘭。後來隨著移民將其帶入美洲新大陸，現在亦成為美國全國性或民間慶典活動的最主要曲目音樂。堪稱為蘇格蘭民謠之第一把交椅。

Amazing Grace 的歌詞相當多，較常被演唱的有六段，如下：

1. Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found,was blind but now I see.

2. 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved, How precious did that grace appear,The hour I first believed.

3. Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come.'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,And grace will lead me home.

4. The Lord has promised good to me,His Word my hope secures;He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures.

5. Yea, when this heart and flesh shall fail,And mortal life shall cease,I shall possess within the vail,A life of joy and peace.

6. The world shall soon dissolve like snow,The sun refuse to shine;But God, who called me here below, Shall be forever mine.

P. S.1-3,5,6段為John Newton所填詞，第4段為John P. Rees所作。歌詞亦有克爾特人(Celts)的蓋爾語（Gaelic）填詞，因較少流傳，暫不列出。歌詞的意境深遠，歌詞很長，演唱者很少將其唱完，大都只選擇其中的3-4段，但已使人動容。Amazing Grace亦常被使用為電影插曲，中外皆然，如最近的「大智若魚」（Big Fish）及「地下鐵」（Sound of Colors）。日本NHK在2004年重拍的電視連續劇「白色巨塔」，就使用紐西蘭音樂美少女海莉（Hayley Westenra）演唱的版本做為片尾曲，使Amazing Grace這首歌在日本及台灣因而聲名大譟。
