這首〈 Take it on the run 〉是快速馬車合唱團的歌曲，也是我喜歡 REO Speedwagon的第五首歌曲，就如〈In my dreams〉文中所言……「利用這次購買約翰丹佛的歌曲時，順便購入，是Apple Music中收錄的第三首REO Speedwagon合唱團歌曲」，另外，本篇中英文歌詞與說明，皆引用摘錄自《安德森的音樂倉庫》之 〈Take it on the run〉，特此申明。關於〈Take it on the run〉，以下 ：

 

 

團長 Kevin Cronin 發現了妻子的背叛，卻決定原諒她，主奏吉他手 Gary Richrath 在當時也經歷了婚姻關係的挫折，而且情況可能更糟……於是他寫了另一首歌〈Take it on the run〉，抒發自己的情緒，也可說是對〈Keep on loving you〉的回應，他回憶道：「那時，我們兩個都遇到了婚姻的難題。有一晚我突然醒來，半睡半醒之間，我百無聊賴的坐著看電視，電視正播著一齣連續劇。我輕撥著吉他，心想：老天！這群人的關係比我的處境更糟糕。我唱著歌，內容是關於男女關係的決裂和八卦耳語的效應，那和我目前的人生何其相似！」

 

 

〈Take it on the run 〉成為專輯中第二首發行的單曲，在排行榜上最高名次為第五名。連同〈Keep on loving you〉這二首暢銷單曲，它們不斷刺激專輯唱片的銷售，最終專輯共賣出九百萬張。〈 Take it on the run 〉的中文歌名翻譯讓老安考慮了許久，英文其實很簡單，若以忠於原文、不過度美化為前提，卻很難找到合適的譯名。〈在逃避中承認了一切〉的譯名老安自己仍不滿意，只能自嘆疏才淺學，期盼各界賢達不吝賜教。
