從年輕的學生時代至今，Chicago合唱團就一直是很多人心中的最愛，這裡指的很多人，是全世界的、國際水準的，Chicago與 BEE GEES 還有披頭四，可稱之世界三大合唱團，而當之無愧。Chicago合唱團，縱橫樂壇四十餘年，探究芝加哥合唱團的崛起與走紅只能以異數來形容，因為六○ 年代中晚期的搖滾樂籠罩在一片藍調聲中，藍調搖滾是當時的主流，而Chicago合唱團卻是走爵士一派，雖然他們並非唯一的爵士搖滾團，但是芝加哥合唱團，卻能把爵士樂裡主要的銅管樂器組納入正常編制，以爵士與流行、搖滾混合發展出自己獨特的樂風。

芝加哥合唱團成軍於1967年，榮獲葛萊美獎加冕的芝加哥合唱團在1972-75這段黃金年間，接續以5張專輯連霸冠軍龍頭。擁有18張金唱片與13張白金唱片的芝加哥合唱團，歷年專輯的全球銷量也早已超過1億2200萬張，樂團的經典地位已然確認，不容動搖。 Hard To Say I’m Sorry只是眾多金曲之一。
