在我多年的駐唱生涯，有幾首西洋歌曲，是從一開始就放在我專用的歌本裡，一直到駐唱生涯結束，都沒有換過的曲子，這樣的西洋歌曲，不會超過十五首，因為一場演唱場次大約是十四首歌（其實嚴格來說，兩者沒有必然性）而Lying eyes，正是那其中的一首，原因有二點，第一是我喜歡它那可以用民謠吉他輕快的旋律指法彈奏，其次是它的歌詞涵意，到三十多年後的今天依然適用，不曾改變，即使是滄海桑田，仍不會改變，Eagles來詮釋這首歌，再合適不過了……。
